Akron Children’s Hospital
Back to
being kids.
Two orthopedics campaign films made with Marcus Thomas. Make Good Studio handled all animation, video editing and post production, bringing everyday childhood moments into a clear, reassuring brand story.
01 / The campaign
Small moments.
A clear message.
A tumble on the playground. A bike ride that stops short. A game interrupted. The films begin with situations parents recognize and move toward reassurance.
Marcus Thomas brought Make Good Studio onto Akron Children’s Hospital’s orthopedics campaign for animation, editing and post production. The work covers two 15 second films, “Accidents Happen” and “Back to Fun,” with each delivered in four aspect ratios.
“Back to Fun” uses a more focused sequence. The opening action gives way to a short message, then the edit returns to people: a cast being signed and a child with family at home. Copy and picture work together to carry the idea of getting back to childhood.
The editing makes room for both parts of the story: recognizable moments at the start and readable information at the finish. Motion connects the footage, typography, location symbol and final brand frame without asking the viewer to follow a separate visual idea.

02 / Accidents Happen
Everyday moments.
A reassuring finish.
The companion film brings together childhood mishaps inside the campaign’s orange graphic composition. The tone changes, but the visual language stays consistent.
In “Accidents Happen,” a quick sequence of childhood mishaps sits inside a strong orange composition. The imagery supplies the energy while the copy stays simple. Animated dots and text establish a rhythm before the film shifts to the service message and hospital identity.
Make Good’s animation carries the campaign through the transitions and into the closing identity. Both films use the same orange field, restrained typography and branded finish, creating a recognizable pair while giving each story its own pace.
03 / Four formats
One campaign.
Different screens.
Each film was delivered in landscape 16:9, square 1:1, portrait 4:5 and vertical 9:16. The frame changes; the message needs to stay clear.
Format adaptation means balancing the footage and graphics within a different space. The portrait versions give the imagery a taller frame, while the wide versions can place the message beside the action. Copy, timing and the hospital identity still need to read as one campaign.
